Homecrest Senior Center Table Tennis Tournament Brings Community Together

The 2026 Homecrest Senior Center Table Tennis Friendship Tournament, hosted by Homecrest Senior Center and exclusively sponsored by Rendr Medical Group, was held on the 22nd in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.

After two preliminary rounds and a final match, Li Shixiong, He Zhiwei, and Chen Rixuan placed first, second, and third in the men’s division, while Wu Xiaohuan, Bao Huifen, and Chen Bao’er won first, second, and third in the women’s division.

A total of 36 members from Homecrest Senior Center participated in the tournament. Players competed in the spirit of friendship and sportsmanship, using the event as an opportunity to connect with one another, improve their skills, and enjoy healthy competition. The venue was filled with excitement, with continuous applause from spectators.

Chen Weiyi, Director of Homecrest Senior Center, and representatives from Rendr Medical Group presented trophies and gift cards to the winners. In her remarks, Chen thanked Rendr for its generous support as well as the staff and volunteers for their hard work. She shared that the center will continue working with community partners to organize more sports activities that promote health and strengthen community bonds.

A representative from Rendr Medical Group stated that by sponsoring the tournament, the organization hopes to encourage community members to maintain active lifestyles while fostering social interaction and community engagement.

Larry He, Chief of Staff to New York State Assembly Member William Colton, also attended the event and expressed his hope that Homecrest Senior Center and Rendr Medical Group would continue hosting similar activities in the future, wishing the tournament continued success.
