Rendr and UnitedHealthcare's Health Fair Attracts 2,000+ Attendees

Rendr and UnitedHealthcare's Health Fair Attracts 2,000+ Attendees

Rendr, the leading integrated medical group dedicated to serving the Chinese community in New York City, co-hosted a “Family Health Day” event with UnitedHealthcare on October 11th at Tangram Mall in Flushing, attracting over 2,000 attendees. The event featured multiple health talks and interactive sessions where doctors engaged directly with community members.

John Hui, Chief Development Officer of Rendr, stated that Rendr collaborated with UnitedHealthcare to host this health fair with the goal of bringing medical knowledge and services deeper into the community. Through this initiative, more people can benefit from Rendr’s medical network, which includes 260 highly qualified providers in both primary and specialty care. Rendr’s medical quality is rated up to five stars, providing top-tier healthcare services to those in need.

Hui further explained that Rendr’s value-based care model differs from the fee-for-service approach used by many other healthcare institutions and aligns with the broader direction of U.S. public health policy. By leveraging advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence to assist in screenings and emphasizing early detection, the model helps reduce the high medical costs associated with advanced diseases. The savings are then reinvested into essential healthcare programs, enabling more patients to receive higher-quality care.

The event included a variety of themed health talks and consultations, such as:

• Prevention and Management of Osteoarthritis

• Managing Risk: Diabetes Control

• One-on-One Cancer Prevention Consultations with doctors

Insurance-focused sessions were also held, including:

• 2025 Medicare Policy Changes

• New York Medicaid and Essential Plan Requirements and Benefits

Attendees also enjoyed prize giveaways and lucky draws, with prizes ranging from small home appliances to the Labubu toys.
