Rendr Team Makes a Splash for Cancer Research

The Rendr Medical Group made waves this summer at the Swim Across America charity event in Glen Cove, Long Island, raising more than $30,000 in support of cancer research.
On the morning of August 2, over 20 Rendr physicians, clinic staff, and their families joined hundreds of swimmers in the open-water event, completing distances up to one mile. More than 60 Rendr employees also contributed donations, helping advance cancer prevention and treatment initiatives nationwide.
Dr. Henry Chen, Rendr Board Member and Internal Medicine Specialist, shared that the group has participated in the event for over two decades. “Every year, our team is inspired to keep supporting this meaningful cause. It’s not only about swimming—it’s about community and hope,” said Dr. Chen.
Rendr Co-Chairman Dr. George Hall personally contributed $11,000, emphasizing the organization’s long-term commitment to early detection and cancer screening. “At Rendr, we promote cancer prevention through screenings for breast, colorectal, and other cancers,” Dr. Hall said. “Our support for Swim Across America reflects our dedication to improving treatment outcomes and expanding access to care.”
Founded in 1987, Swim Across America hosts annual swim events across the country to raise funds for innovative cancer research. To date, it has raised more than $100 million nationwide.
As one of the largest Asian American healthcare groups in New York, Rendr Medical Group offers comprehensive services in internal medicine, family medicine, and over 20 medical specialties. The group champions Value-Based Care, focusing on proactive health management and preventive medicine rather than reactive treatment.
